The Green Cabbage Trading Scheme
Those who have been collecting stamps for some time will have noticed a build up of 'common' stamps- things like the penny patrician, 1/2p post office red and non-sport stamps. Even the most addicted collector will find that 17 versions of the same stamp is probably more than enough (of course if the selvedge has some printing on it that you do not already have, then that makes the stamp different and unique...) But even taking into account minor variations such as this, eventually a pile of spare stamps will grow.
The way it works is that common stamps will be able to be traded in for green cabbage stamps (CTS). After carefully packing up the stamps into labeled bags, and filling in the accompanying packing form, you send your spares off to The Cunning Artificer.
A few weeks later (depending on how busy they are) an envelope will arrive with your CTS stamps in it. These CTS are then stuck onto a trading card available from The Cunning Artificer. Once a card (or cards) are full, they can be used to trade for exclusive items not otherwise available to purchase including FDC, coasters and (it is rumored) even some of Bernard's wonderful Discworld buildings.
The current trading values can be seen on the Discworld Stamps Website.
