Little Brown Envelopes (LBEs)

These small brown enveoples are the where most Flatalists collections begin. For five pounds (GBP), one gets a small brown paper bag filled with a variety of the available stamps at the time and which may include rare stamps difficult or impossible to get otherwise. LBE designs are changed often, and these are collected by many as special items in their own right.
