The Ten
Pence Red
A brick red base cover over a cream background gives this stamp a
wonderful 'traditional' look.
Accidentally ordered by the Stout one from stamp designer Colin Edwards to adorn a special FDC to celebrate the release of 'Going Postal in paperback. It was only after 500 of them were made that it was realised that the description in the book of the ride to Sto Lat used 5 red tuppence stamps and a penny black, not one 10 pence stamp.
Distributed instead with the fourth issue of the Stanley Howler Stamp journal.
